Type 1, 2 and 3 Asbestos Surveys
We are still being asked to undertake Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 asbestos surveys. These were replaced in 2010 by a Management Survey and a Refurbishment & Demolition Survey. The Health & Safety Executive released HSG 264 – Asbestos : The Survey Guide which replaces and expands on MDHS100. It is aimed at people carrying out asbestos surveys and people with specific responsibilities for managing asbestos in non-domestic premises. If you fall into the latter category we would recommend you buy or download a copy from the HSE.
